Gratitude, our word for 2024

Our owner and designer Ali Lennard has been part of Philosophy Australia since 2008, when she landed in Sydney from the UK. In 2019, Ali added owner of Philosophy Australia to her impressive fashion designer resume!

2024 will be our year of Gratitude

Every year since becoming the owner of Philosophy Australia, whilst continuing my role as designer, I’ve picked a word to be my touchstone.

2020 Kindness – The Sprinkling Kindness collaboration project was born
2021 Focus – A deep dive on our who and why
2022 Build - a literal new HQ was needed, and a building of the success to date
2023 Embrace – embracing challenges and the chance post COVID to finally hug again!

This year, after not only surviving but thriving through all the hurdles, I’m going to be all about showing the Gratitude. To my staff, our extended contractor team, our boutique customers, and every online shopper.

First and foremost, I’d like to give a shout out to the best team a girl can have. The Philosophy family may be small but they are mighty, and I feel blessed every day to have the most knowledgeable, reliable, fun and supportive people around me.

On each of their birthdays this year I’ll introduce them to you a little more, as I know that knowing the team helps you know Philosophy that little better.

Some other exciting things happening in 2024:

• January – Willoughby Council on board with shopping local and supporting businesses within their vicinity and promoting us!
  Spring Summer 2024 Shoot, and our End of Summer online sale
• February – Autumn 2024 dispatch and Spring Summer 2024 launch for our boutique customers
• March – SS24 collection viewings across the country for our boutique customers. New season styles online for our online customers.
• April – Winter 2024 dispatch to our boutique customers
• May – Our first sample sale of the year at our Willoughby warehouse. New season styles online for our online customers.
• July – Spring 2024 dispatch to our warehouse customers
• August – shoot and launch of Autumn Winter 2025. New season styles online for our online customers.
• September – AW25 collection viewings across the country for our boutique customers
• October – our fifth birthday party and final dispatch of Summer 2024 to our boutique customers. New season styles online for our online customers.
• November – Our second sample sale of the year at our Willoughby warehouse

We are so excited about the year ahead, and we can't wait to share it all with you!
