Here at Philosophy Australia, we are really proud about our Made in Australia manufacture, and our mission to shine a spotlight on its importance. Australia is half our name after all! 

Yes, we design, pattern, cut, make, trim and despatch from our Sydney HQ. We also purchase our components and fabrics from only Australian-based local businesses, and support many more through our boutique network across the country.

Being Australian-made is more than just high fives and happy dances for us. It’s so core to what we do, and who we are. We know our customers feel the same way.

When shopping for clothing or any items made in Australia, it’s important to consider these things:

• Do your research. Some brands may market their products as Australian-owned but produce their garments overseas, or they may be designed in Australia, but not produced here. 

• Does the pricing seem right? If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. If a product seems too cheap, it’s likely the product has been mass produced and imported.

• However, it’s also not necessary to pay through the roof to guarantee you have purchased Australian-made, we pride ourselves on our value.
