I am very fortunate to have a small but versatile and vibrant team. Lauren is my daughter, and her skills are boundless – from social media manager to stylist. Carolyn has been a vital part of LamiSaru Boutique for quite some years, and she is well known by our customers. And then there's Monika, our creative virtuoso behind the lens, whose role has expanded to work closely with Lauren on all things digital and social media. We are a team fuelled by passion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. And of course, I must give a special mention to my wonderfully supportive husband, Steve, whose unwavering encouragement, and support are invaluable to me as a business owner. 

What is your best style tip? 

Our most invaluable style tip is to indulge oneself with the luxury of time to peruse our boutique's offerings at leisure, followed by the enjoyable time in the change room playing with the fashion pieces you have selected.  Then embrace your individuality and wear what makes you feel confident and empowered. Whether it's mixing and matching bold colours, experimenting with different textures, or accessorizing with statement pieces, confidence is the key to pulling off any look with style. 

What makes your day? 

The joy of connecting with our community of loyal customers-turned-friends. Their stories, feedback, and smiles inspire us to continue curating a unique and unforgettable shopping experience. Witnessing our customers leave our boutique feeling beautiful and confident is truly fulfilling. 

How do you sprinkle kindness? 

We sprinkle kindness by fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every customer feels valued and appreciated. Whether it's offering personalised styling advice, lending a listening ear, or simply sharing a genuine smile, we strive to uplift and empower women every step of the way. 

Furthermore, we elevate our marketing efforts by hosting fashion parades, both in-store and within the community.  Particularly dear to our hearts are the fundraising fashion parades, where we join with community groups to support causes while indulging in the joy of fashion. 

Apart from your bricks and mortar store, how else do you market your goods? 

Central to our marketing strategy is the creation of a "Fashion Love Letter," crafted to offer not just purchasing opportunities but a wealth of styling insights and inspiration. Through this personalised correspondence, we aim to nurture a deeper bond with our engaged clientele, fostering a relationship founded on a shared passion for fashion. 

In addition, our vibrant presence on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram serve as a virtual stage where we showcase our fashion ranges in a blend of entertainment and education. Here, we impart valuable styling tips, unveil the latest trends, and engage with our audience in interactive and meaningful ways, enriching their fashion journey beyond mere transactions.

What’s the best thing to do in your location, other than shop at your store? 

As Ocean Grove is on the southern peninsula of Victoria, the activities and events in our area are endless. Whether you're unwinding on the pristine beaches, immersing yourself in local arts, enjoying the golf courses, indulging in a smorgasbord of culinary delights from top-notch eateries and wineries, splashing around in the water park, or seeking refuge in a variety of accommodations, Ocean Grove beckons with an irresistible charm. Is there a local business you’d like to recommend, preferably a female led one, which aligns with our campaign? 

In our vibrant town, the entrepreneurial spirit thrives, with a multitude of small businesses owned and operated by women who have left an indelible mark on our community.
